Update on Shallia!

Tracey Wojciechowski Neblett sent us an update on Shallia, one of the dogs she drove to a rescue in Wisconsin. Thanks Tracey!

Shallia was the beautiful white shepherd that was picked up as a stray. She was timid and fearful when she came in, but really started doing well at the shelter. From the Heart Rescue in Wisconsin (a new rescue that works with Rescue a German Shepherd-who rescued Madison) agreed to work with Shallia (now called Shay) and they are fostering her until she finds a forever home. She has five fenced acres to run in, gets along really well with the other dogs, is happy and having a really good time!

Gus and Ichabob!

Lisa Heegeman Rooney shared these pictures and an update with us!

These are our two Rooney kids from CCHS. Gus (aka Mo), black lab, we got as a young pup. He was in the last pen in the Puppy Room and he just melted our hearts. He has been the absolute BEST dog in the world. Then we came across Ichabob (aka Wes). Ike came in as a stray but through a... Read More funny chance of circumstances of being adopted twice from CCHS and then listed on Craigslist for free, he's now found his forever home with us. These two are the best of brothers. They go pretty much everywhere with me.

Critterfest a Successful Day!

Lou finds his forever friend at Critterfest in Lafayette. Abby, a young husky mix, who was found as a stray was lucky enough to be adopted by Lou and his wife. Paw Pals volunteers felt fortunate to have four adoptions as a result of this off-site adoption. Three dogs and one cat now have a place of their own to call home.

Wiley is doing well in Canada!

This dog is living the good life in Canada with his buddy Finnagan. It's been a couple of months since the trip to Indiana to pick him up, and I would do it again. Such an affectionate dog with a lot of energy. Thanks again !

Peter LaFerte sent us this update from Windsor, Ontario. Our first update on Wiley had his name as Alex, but it was just after he had been adopted, and Peter must have thought he seemed more like a Wiley! Some of you may remember him as Mick when he was briefly at our shelter. Isn't this a great story?!

An update on Bailey!

Thank you to Ashlynn Davis for sharing a picture and an update on Bailey!

Hey CCHS! I just wanted to show you how much Bailey (formerly Athena) has grown. We adopted her back in August 2008 and she has probably added every bit of 20 lbs! Haha! We love her, thanks for finding us a dog that really fit us!
