On Saturday, June 13th, Beverly, Kendra, Libby, Leanne, and I took six dogs from our shelter to try to place into loving homes. Three of the souls were fortunate and found their forever homes. Petey, Big Girl, and Captain were all happy to leave us when their special families came to take them home. Unfortunately, Brownie, Lizzie, and Smokey came back to their kennels at the shelter for a second time, but we hope their day will come soon. At least, they had a change of scenery and lots of attention for the day. Thanks to all of you who helped with the off-site adoption. The picture is of Kendra holding Lizzie who was looking for her lucky break.

Thanks to the 5 of you for giving up a Saturday for the dogs! I know it was a long day, but finding homes for 3 out of 6 is pretty good! I can remember several off-site events that weren't nearly that successful. I'm sure the ones that didn't find a home at least enjoyed spending the day with you. You are all appreciated for what you do! Thanks again!
It was a pleasure! I think the next time I'm involved in one of these, I'll do what I possibly can to get out of work a couple hours early on Friday and see if any dog needs 'furminated' before the adoption event. :)
