Check out Lisa's work

I don't have this video handy to post here directly, but I'd still like you to see it. It's one Lisa did of Marlo. She did a really nice job on it! This is another thing that we try to do on Sunday afternoons. There are always new dogs and cats that need to be put on the website. Pictures and videos of pets take a lot of time to get right. The subjects don't alway cooperate. A good picture or video can really help to get a pet adopted. We could use help with this too if you're interested. Sometimes we just need an extra hand to hold the pet while their picture is taken. When you click on the link, it will take you to Marlo's page on Petfinder. Click on "view video". This will bring up Marlo's video that you can click on to play. After you're done, come back here and leave a comment if you wish. Thanks!

I love the video of Marlo. I really liked walking her last week when I came to volunteer-walk the dogs for the first time. I believe my husband will be joining me tomorrow to walk the dogs if he doesn't have to work, and he wants to see this Marlo that I told him about who seems quite a bit like our collie or sheltie mix, "Jenny", whom we adopted in early October.

We really appreciated your help last Sunday Kendra! It's always great when new people show up to volunteer, especially ones that obviously care about animals as much as you do. Your husband is very welcome to join us if he's able, as is anyone else. It would be really cool if we had so many people there that all the dogs got walked and we still had time left to brush some, and take all of the pictures and videos that we needed to without anyone having to stay late to finish up. I think we'll get to that point soon. We're starting to see more people interested.

Thanks, Rick! Like you said in your blog post a few weeks ago - something about health benefits with no membership fee. That was a lot of walking and it is such a healthy way to get out of the house, away from the office desk, and do some good for body and soul (not just the human ones, either!).

See you this afternoon.

Thank you for helping again today Kendra! Thanks also to your husband! Some of us that are well over 40 really appreciate getting some younger volunteers involved. Even though it's good exercise, it tends to make some of us ache the next day. The dogs are worth it though.
