A Happy Update on Duey

Just wanted to send a quick update on Duey. Duey is doing very well. He's learning to go potty outside and knows most of the basic commands now. He's all up to date and even micro-chipped. He is not doing well in his crate when left at home, though. He just misses everyone so much! And he is quite the escape artist. He gets out if it is not securely locked. However, he does well with it at night so with a little work/patience, we know he will come around.
He has lots of doggy friends in the neighborhood and is somewhat sweet on Misty, the Italian Greyhound next door.
Banshee, our cat, and Duey get along great and play together nicely. Duey's really good in the car too. We took several long trips over the Memorial Day weekend, and Duey was a perfect gentleman on each trip. Duey is getting a doggy friend this week. We are hoping he will not be so lonely for the short periods he is home alone. Did I mention he misses us so very much when we have to leave him?
We really couldn't have asked for a better puppy in Duey. We really got lucky, and I think he feels the same way...he's giving me puppy kisses as I type. Well, take care and good luck to all those wonderful dogs that are still looking for homes.
