These two lucky dogs were rescued over the weekend! One of our dedicated volunteers contacted the rescues to see if they would help, made arrangements when they were accepted, then proceeded to drive ll hours round trip to deliver them to their destinations. Eden (left) went to Australian Cattle Dog Rescue of Illinois in Joliet, and Shailla (right) went to Rescue A German Shepherd (RAGS) in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Our volunteer gets embarassed when people fuss over her efforts, so I won't name her. She just needs to know that we appreciate her very much! She has already made several trips like these, and thinks nothing of it. Thanks again Ms. Anonymous!
Paw Pals of Clinton County is dedicated to helping the homeless pets of Clinton County, Indiana. We work tirelessly to raise money for the care and comfort of our “paw pals” at the Clinton County Humane Society and spend countless hours working with them to find their forever homes. We need your help! Our furry friends can’t speak for themselves. They need us (and you!) to be their voices. Together we can make a difference! Won’t you join us?

A huge THANK YOU to the volunteer who took the time and trouble to see that these two dogs made it to a rescue. You are a life saver!
Thank you to that GREAT volunteer. The animals are soooooo lucky to have you on their side.
:) She does a fantastic job finding rescues, and seeing them through!

This volunteer will be the most celebrated person at the Rainbow Bridge one day. So many animals have been given such a wonderful new lease on life because of her.
Both dogs are doing wonderfully and both rescues are very hopeful that they will find forever homes quickly because they're such great dogs!
Sounds like another of the many wonderful Humane Society volunteers across the country. For some more inspiration, please take a look at this short video -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/4169 -- which tells the story of one woman’s “aha moment” and how one special dog lead her to become to be a Humane Society volunteer. I think you’ll enjoy it.
All the best,
